---eBay---
Pros-
- Extremely wide selection, hard NOT to find what you are looking for!
- eBay seller/buyer protection
- You can get a great deal... Sometimes
- Lots of crap results to look through very often
- Fees, fees, fees!
- Shipping makes it cost more, more often than not.
- Paypal adds even more fees!
- Some items can be overpriced
Pros-
- Prices seem better a lot of the time
- Never pay for shipping
- Entertaining to look at everyday, as some of the stuff is so random
- Not as wide of a selection
- Get items instantly, possibly
- No Fees!!
- Having to meet somewhere with a stranger can be intimidating
- Prices can be ridiculous sometimes, but sellers usually realize when they are and lower them
- Can be a lot of crap to sift through as well
- Spam/Misleading posts
Never used Craiglist before since I never had problems with Ebay in the past. The fees are annoying but the prices and the buyer's protection is why I never went on Craiglist. I might give it a try someday, thanks for the Pros/Cons!
ReplyDeleteI've always been afraid to get shot/stabbed/mugged/raped by using craiglist.
ReplyDeleteI don't use ebay that much either though, but it seems a bit safer.
Ebay-shipping sux. CL- getting to meet a stranger can turn out to be very rewarding. Your results may vary.
ReplyDeleteebay > fagslist
ReplyDeleteBuying off of Craigslist is always really awkward for me, and kind of sucks because usually I have to drive and get lost :I
ReplyDeleteI think CL wins because you don't have that middleman taking your money.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't for the fees ebay is awesome. I go where i can sell better.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with the previous comment, Ebay is a BLATANT ripoff anymore when it comes to listing fees + they take a percentage of the final sale price from the seller. What is it up to like 20% now? ROFL. I stopped selling with them ages ago as a result of this. CL on the other hand is free, but its also spam city.
ReplyDeletegood to know...
ReplyDeleteIve actually met up with people from Craigslist, some very nice people. It could be good for people who are shut-ins.
ReplyDeleteebay is still the best
ReplyDeleteI would go with ebay
ReplyDeleteBoth are at the bottom of my list. I don't really like either.
ReplyDeletenever tried one of those buy maybe i should do that :D
ReplyDeleteGood points for both. I've had more experience using ebay as a buyer, but would probably look at Craigslist as a source...thanks!
ReplyDeleteebay is better i think....
ReplyDeleteI've tried selling stuff on craigslist but most people are flakes. But I found my apartment there! Yay!
ReplyDeletegood post dude. following you
ReplyDeletei never used any of them. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat information!
ReplyDeleteI prefer amazon over either. I sell books on it, buy whatever, and it's just better all around!
ReplyDeleteI look at Craig's list for job offers. I stay away from ebay cause its ass expensive.
what is craiglist? I don't even know it sorry.. I just know Ebay & Amazon oô
ReplyDeleteI use Amazon for most stuff, but eBay does have a much larger selection, sometimes at better prices.
ReplyDeletei thought craigslist was for like... prostitues...
ReplyDeleteI have bought and sold on both sites.
ReplyDeleteI find CL great for large items locally, I sold a car within 2 days of posting it on CL only.
And I like eBay for smaller high valued things, sure the fees suck, but you get great nationwide exposure and are able to sell niche market stuff easier.
I've actually used both, and I'm on the fence on which one I like the most lol.
ReplyDeleteCL is random. you might get a legit person or someone that might rob you.
